Globally Focused Educational Experiences

Elephants at Amboseli National Park seen during a Kenya safari adventure

Whether you're exploring topics for an upcoming college credit course, or curious about how leaders in another country are making strides in a topic area you are tackling, we work with your group to meet your intended outcomes.  We collaborate to design customized itineraries that meet academic or continuing education requirements and can be integrated into credit-bearing courses.  Programs incorporate fieldwork, research, and cultural immersion practices.

Why?  A transformative approach to learning fosters critical thinking, cultural awareness, and global citizenship.  Our connections in Kenya mean we provide your group with hands-on experience in community development, environmental sustainability, or international business.  When we belong to each other in a community, we are motivated to address the underlying obstacles to peace and prosperity.  This impact begins during your trip, in Kenya, and continues upon return home.

Our educational experiences include insights similar to our popular blog on leadership lessons from elephant herd.

Curious for some examples of how this can play out? Through our network of partners, truly any conversation is possible. Keep reading to learn more, as well as next steps for creating this experience for your students, or community.

What type of learning?

Rhinoceros at Nakuru National Park while on a Kenya safari

Your immersive education experience in Kenya includes peacebuilding and environmental sustainability, trauma informed mental health practices, and leadership in community.

This educational journey brings to you both our partnership with Green String Network, whose work centers around healing centered peacebuilding, and a magical Kenya safari experience.

The founder of Green String Network birthed the non profit out of her experience around the world and 20 years in Kenya. It was born as a recognition that Western practices of trauma informed work do not apply within the complexities of conflict happening in different communities, and so healing centered peacebuilding takes the unpacking of trauma and cycles of violence and uses community as the basis for building resiliency.

Your trip includes both lectures and hands on project work.  Education will be interspersed with opportunities to embark into Kenya’s national parks in a 4x4 land cruiser for moments of a lifetime viewing traditional safari animals in their natural habitats.

Next Steps?

There's no cost to having a conversation.  Below are questions and topics you might consider, but reach out at anytime.  We're happy to help.

  • Who needs to be included in pulling off your plan?

  • What is your anticipated time frame? Consider the time to inspire others to catch your vision.

  • How will the trip be expensed? Will participants pay individually or will your group to launch fundraising efforts?

  • What printed materials do you need to present to decision makers or other group leaders?

Safety is our top priority.  Our experiences include comprehensive safety protocols and 24/7 support throughout the trip. Your tour guide is certified with 13 hours of first aid training.  We can even arrange a pre-trip training for your participants with a retired police detective, related to travel safety protocols.
